Lawrenceville, GA – July 30, 2019 – Lawrenceville resident Lindsey Acciarito has announced her candidacy for Georgia State Senate District 45. The seat is currently held by Renee Unterman (R), who is running for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Lindsey is the mother of a Pre-K aged daughter and the wife of a Johns Creek firefighter. She works as a Communications Manager for a nonprofit that assists veterans and military spouses land jobs in the civilian workforce. (Full bio) She was born and raised in Atlanta and describes herself as “a boiled peanut eating, Yellow Jacket cheering, sweet tea drinking Georgia peach. My parents named me after a UGA football player.”
She believes it is time for the residents of District 45 to have a Senator that truly represents them, rather than serving special interest groups or lawmakers’ personal agendas.
“District 45 is a vibrant, diverse, growing area. My goal is to make it the best it can be for new business, happy families, and excellent education. The citizens here deserve to have access to all available opportunities for success. I will fight to support and protect every person I represent at the State Capitol,”she said.
Lindsey is committed to speaking with as many people in the district as possible, listening to their ideas and concerns. She will be traveling across the district between now and the election.
